JUST SAY I DO..
Nikko Bali Bridal Fair 2010 showcased more than just an exhibition

NUSA DUA, BALI - OCTOBER 2010. “Will you marry me?” this is the ultimate question that defines the next step of a relationship and it’s what many people wait for in their lives. But one may realize that the next steps after the question can be full of challenges for both bride and groom to be, from setting the date, finding the venue to creating a theme for their day. This preparation sometimes takes you to so many different places and will take up most of your time, but wouldn’t it be nice if you can go to a place where you can find everything?
With that in mind, Nikko Bali Resort and Spa decided to organize the third Nikko Bali Bridal Fair that started back in 2006 after the resort introduced its cliff-top wedding venue, Wiwaha. On a sunny Saturday, October 30th, Nikko Bali Resort and Spa invited the best vendors representing every essential related to this multi million dollar bridal business - a florist, printing company, wedding organizer, photography and a bridal gown designer - to showcase their services and products in the lush gardens of Wiwaha.
White tents adorned with unique decorations served as the vendor’s booths while in the background stood the majestic glass structure of Wiwaha, beckoning visitors to ‘create’ their dream weddings on the spot. Each vendor offered their special packages, samples of their products and even lucky draws - drawn hourly throughout the day - to the visitors of the one-day event. Two wedding choirs, traditional music players and a DJ were also featured to give options to brides to be, along with a collection of well-tailored bridesmaid dresses, grooms attire, modern kebayas and bridal gowns from the island’s well-known designers, Dinda Rella and Monika Weber also two major bridal houses, “I do I do” and “Watabe”.
But the main highlight was the first ever bridal make over done with the cooperation between Nikko Bali Resort and Spa and one of the leading bridal magazines in Indonesia, Her World Brides. Prior to the fair, Nikko Bali Resort and Spa announced a challenge to the listeners of a radio station in Bali to send their dream wedding story. Out of 23 participants’ 5 winners were announced for having the most unique essays and each was entitled to a make over session and a magazine cover style photo shoot.
Visitors of the fair were also entertained with delectable hors d’oeuvres and light lunch provided by the catering team of Nikko Bali Resort and Spa. Down at Shamita cocktail lounge, located just below Wiwaha, the resort displayed wedding cakes created by the pastry team along with a live cake decorating demonstration.
Concluding the one-day fair, visitors were invited to Wiwaha terrace where refreshing drinks and mouth-watering canapés awaited them along with a beautiful fashion show of cocktail dresses by Dinda Rella.
